Epic Games Store is offering the survival horror game “Sorry We’re Closed” to users on the fifth day of its daily free game campaign launched specifically for the holiday season. Available from the evening of December 21st, the game can be permanently added to libraries until 7 PM on December 22nd, 2025.
Sorry We’re Closed is now free
Promising a single-player experience, the game blends the static camera angles familiar from classic Resident Evil and Silent Hill series with modern first-person shooter mechanics.
Developed by À La Mode Games, Sorry We’re Closed has garnered an average score of 82 on OpenCritic, a respected gaming review platform. On Steam, it has been rated “Extremely Positive” by users, particularly praised by fans of the genre for its visual style and atmosphere.
Players focus on the story of the main character, Michelle, as they try to solve puzzles and survive in a world full of demons. The fact that the game has multiple endings is among the elements that increase its replayability.
Epic Games’ “Mystery Game” marathon this year started with Hogwarts Legacy on December 11th, followed by Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel, Eternights, and Blood West. Sorry We’re Closed takes its place on the list as the fifth installment in this series.
The platform is expected to give away a total of 17 different games for free by the end of the year. Each game offered in the campaign is replaced by the next mystery game after a 24-hour period.
